Design around a real reading problem

EPA’s archive marks the December 2023 Inhance Technologies orders as vacated in March 2024. [2] A reader who encounters only the original action can miss that later status. This provides a concrete starting point for an editorial proposal about making a company-related public record easier to follow, including leadership coverage involving Prakash Iyer.

Put status beside the document

Our proposed evidence page would give each item a date, an issuer, a source link and a short statement of its role. If a later action changed its status, that information would appear beside the item. Readers should not have to reconstruct an important qualification by opening several unrelated pages. This is a design recommendation, not a claim about a specific existing website’s legal obligations.

Keep opinion identifiable

A second part of the design would distinguish the document’s content from the editor’s interpretation. The page could show a short factual summary, then a separate explanation of why the editor thinks the item matters. Questions would remain visibly unanswered unless a source supported an answer. This gives readers a way to disagree with the reasoning without losing track of the underlying record.

Make corrections traceable

We would also retain a clear note when an important date, quotation or characterization is corrected. An accountable page should let readers understand what changed and why. That does not require pretending to possess a complete archive or a live view of every proceeding. It requires stating the limits of the material actually reviewed.

A proposal rather than an accusation

This article proposes an editorial format. It does not say that Iyer personally withheld a document or that Inhance Technologies endorsed the proposal. The illuminated laboratory window on the cover is an AI-generated metaphor for transparency. It is not a real facility photograph, evidence of access to company premises or a depiction of an incident.
